Die flugplatzspezifische Gewerbefläche Nr. 9 liegt im Bereich des Verkehrslandeplatzes Kamenz. Baurecht wird über die Landesdirektion Dresden, Referat 36, erteilt.
Der Verkehrslandeplatz Kamenz ist einer der attraktivsten Verkehrslandeplätze in Sachsen, zugleich aber auch einer der ältesten und vor allen Dingen noch aktiven Flugplätze Deutschlands.
Ungefähr 30 km nordöstlich Dresdens gelegen stehen hier den Piloten eine beleuchtbare Beton-Start- und Landebahn von 1100 x 28 m, sowie eine Gras-Start- und Landebahn von 1100 x 40 m für Luftfahrzeuge bis 5.700 kg (10.00 kg PPR), Helicopter, Motorsegler, Segelflugzeuge, Ultraleichtflugzeuge, Fallschirmspringer, Hängegleiter, Paragleiter, Ballone (PPR), Luftschiffe (PPR) zur Verfügung.
Über die unmittelbar anliegende S 94 ist der Anschluss an den Fernverkehr über die Anschlussstelle Burkau der BAB 4 gegeben. Das Stadtzentrum von Kamenz sowie der Bahnhof Kamenz mit S-Bahnanschluss an die Landeshauptstadt Dresden liegen von der Gewerbefläche ca. 5 Fahrminuten entfernt.

The major municipal town of Kamenz is situated in the Free State of Saxony in the Federal Republic of Germany. Kamenz is in the border triangle of Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic and has a size of around 9,500 hectares and approximately 17,000 inhabitants. The industrial location of Kamenz lies about 50 km north east of the State Capital of Dresden and 30 km northwest of the city of Bautzen.
The industrial location of Kamenz has a well-developed infrastructure. It is very easy to reach Dresden, Leipzig and Berlin international airports from Kamenz. Kamenz also has its own Commercial Airfield (one of the oldest in Germany).
There is a good connection to the A4 federal motorway via the motorway approach road, Burkau junction. There is also a connection to the A13 federal motorway at the Ruhland junction (distance of approx. 31 km). There are railway services every hour to and from the State Capital of Dresden.
